This is instructions on how to take a screenshot image of your desktop and program windows (ie browser, excel, notepad).

On your keyboard somewhere above the number's keypad on the right, you should see a key labeled Print Scr.

When you have the window(s) in view you want a screenshot of, press the Print Scr key.

Now open your favorite image program, such as IrfanView, Paint Shop, or even plain old Windows Paint that comes pre-installed.

Go to Edit then Paste on the toolbar, your image should appear. Then go to File and Save / Save As and name your file; you can also chose whether it's saved as a .bmp, jpg, gif, or png type file.

If you want just a small portion of the image, you can use the programs tools to select and crop the selection you want, each program uses different methods, so I won't go into those.

To post the image to the forum or site, you'll need to upload the image you just created to an online storage place. If you don't have hosting or your ISP doesn't offer storage you'll need to use a place like TinyPic or PhotoBucket.
